The fabric comprises 2 layers of 100% organic cotton knit with a 1mil non-GMO bio-based TPU film sandwiched between the layers. This cornstarch-derived, biodegradable film makes the protector waterproof and protects against spills, stains, dust mites, and bed bugs, plus it is approved by GOTS and meets the GreenGu+54ard Gold Standard.
Past, guess what, this fabric has also undergone a pore test with results stating that if any pores exist, they are less than 1 micron which means that it is also a great barrier fabric to protect from dust. Very exciting!
Washing Instructions: DO NOT USE BLEACH!
Washing the fabric with cold water, or detergent, airing it dry, or using a dryer is okay and will not have any impact on the waterproof fabric. However, it is important NOT TO USE bleach on the fabric, as it can destroy the bond between the film and the fabric. Washing with bleach and then drying in high heat will cause delamination, so please do not use bleach.
